  • Very nice find! Two for the price of nothing!!! Great playing and great tone out of your setup there...cheers.

  • When I recorded this video, there was a no-name 12' speaker in it. I reconditioned the amp (new tolex, cleaned up inside) and I sourced and installed a vintage 1962 Jensen P12R last year.

  • The tone on this thing is amazing. Did you use any effects? Or software to add effects? I heard this amp is very clean so it's a bit surprising to hear such great break-up.

  • Thanks! yeah, I used a Blues Driver sparingly on this...the amp was recorded on 10, my Strat was full volume in the middle position and I was playing pretty hard. Otherwise, it's a fairly clean amp at low volumes, low playing intensity.

  • sorry, meant to say bridge pickup....

  • Just shot you a link to mine. True story : Found an elderly man emptying the contents of his shed. Empty guitar cases at the roadside - I asked if they were free. He replied : "Yes, and I have a Gibson amplifier in the back if you want it."

This one is truly relic'ed and 100% original. The clarity from low to high is other-worldly.

Won't overdrive, but has a hot enough signal to cut through the mix. Working on the grounding system. That's the only shortcoming so far.

  • lovely... what sort of speaker is in yours?

  • man i youalso got one that i use in combination(monitor out) with my bogen challenger 50 watts....try putting 1 5u4 + 2 ..5881 and youll hear your amp REBORN....THAT TONE BUT DEEPER AND A NOTCH LOUDER...NOT TOO MUCH....if you keep the 5y3 and put 6l6'S your power transfo will heat up faster...

  • AMazing TOne!

  • sounds awsome
