Wouldn't you save time by touching the flagpole at the very bottom? Time is wasted when Mario slides down the pole.
Mashiki 1 year ago
@Mashiki No, the time it takes after finishing the level is fixes, except for a few times when touching the flagpole high will actually be slightly faster. Don't ask me why because I don't know.

why you didn´t used the warp pipes ? there are much bether and faster speedruns
TheGuyBehindThePC 1 year ago
I skipped warps because the run is intended to be a "full game" run, completing every level.
Cpadolf0 1 year ago
As for speed on a level per level basis, there are no faster runs currently (although I'm certain this is beatable by a few seconds, since it is so old).

I saw several times whee you should've died and you didn't. Is that a part of the TAS?
TarntulaKid96 2 years ago
There is no part where I should have actually died.
I'm only really really close to stuff, and due to the hitboxes of both Mario and the enemies being slightly smaller that the actual sprites, this allows Mario to seemingly touch some enemies without taking damage.
