The meaning is simple. It is about a "perfect man" of her own creation that can only exist in her head. Yet, his existence in her imagination is still comforting. It is a standard she judges all other men by. She is warning her future boyfriends about this flaw and is asking him to understand it and be strong enough to shake her out of that "plastic fantasy"
