  • great video... amazed it took me until now to see it.

  • @Peter1983zzz There was never one case of death or serious illness due to DDT. Not a SINGLE ONE. Sorry, but you fail. fail hard.

  • I think the comparison of ddt use in the US versus malaria in African countries is a red herring. I get the show is about simplicity and unintended consequences but a better example of unintended consequences would be that ddt was originally made to kill pests but it also killed beneficial insects and harmed other animals including humans. The fact that in the pre-50s pesticides were excessively used doesn't seem to be mentioned. Malaria is bad, many options should be explored ddt is one.

  • Dr. Scammington, what about an intro with a skater kid saying "because simple rocks!" and you him do that fist punch thing or something like that.

  • I like your ideas. You are a smart man :)

  • It's not the fact that corn is being diverted to make ethanol. It's the fact that the federal government is giving subsidies to the farmers to divert their crops from food to fuel. Creating an artificial problem in the market place there wouldn't normally be.

  • first view? woo-hoo! i love the simpleton's guide.
