  • The real morons are the ones who don't realize that these people are up on a 12ft bluff, clearly out of the danger zone for what the bouys predicted.

Pathetic internet losers who will critcize anyone with the slightest sense of adventure while they themselves never truly "lived" a day in their lives.

  • disrespecting the ocean gets you killed... you guys are insanely lucky it wasnt any larger. too many people think that a tsunami has to be 30 feet to be dangerous... a 5 footer will make you its bitch in a heartbeat.

  • I lived in CC my whole life, and we've had two of these. Anyone see the frog and the turtle rocks at :10? Lived there my whole lfie and never knew they were there.

Anyway, the spot where this video was taken was over near the airport, not the highest point, but a relatively safe one. Besides, they weren't out on the jetty like some people.

  • great video with the context of that rocky outcrop just off shore there. it really helps to put the event into some perspective.

  • @greennpurple34 ikr haha. gotta love are tiny sucked up city!

  • my town,,ayyy

  • @srhbca But nobody never knows what force a tsunami is gonna hit with, or how big it's gonna be befor it reaches land

  • What will people on the East Coast do...when the landslide accompanies the Canary Island earthquake/volcano? I have heard numbers as low as 300 ft. and as high as 3000 ft. surge waves.

  • @srhbca The problem is that 12' wouldn't be enough if you were in Japan. 100ft wouldn't be enough. So the worry was that the waves generated by this earthquake would still contain enough energy behind them to wash out the bluff. Fortunately the energy was greatly dispersed as it travelled through the ocean. Just wait for the Juan De Fuca to slide, it's a Megathrust 9.0+ magnitude producing fault along the Oregon coastline.

  • @metafis I work for Sac city Fire dept and people that dont follow evac orders we have to go find there bodys and give them back to his/hers family that why I said that.

  • There's no force here on earth nore powerful than NATURE!!

  • @tornadomatt1

well, if everyone did that youd have no tsunami videos to watch.

So many armchair criticsm who seek out these vidoes, then critisise the people involved for getting the footage.
