That year was the Mario Andretti Grand Prix. It was so cool that Mario saved the race to bad the weather was crap. Thank you once again Mario!

NASCAR did go there. It was in 1956 won by Lee Petty.

they did in the 1960's they stopped going there after a while because it roughly took 4:15 a lap and it took 5 hours and 30 min. to complete the race.
