lol what? This video is to show how to connect a HDMI to DVI. Obviously if u have a HDMI monitor you wouldn't need to watch this video, never mind bothering to leave such a ridiculous comment.

ROFL u fail cost me 5 bucks

Hi, I tryied this and it didnt work, it could be possible that the reason why id didnt work is cuz my HDMI - DVI adapter has 25 pins instead of 19 like yours?, cuz I got no signal, at all.
-
can i use VGA, because my monitor doesnt has DVI or do i have to buy a spliter
-
lol it cost me 10 bucks
-
so if my laptop haves DVI output. the hdmi to dvi would work if i plug in the hdmi to my ps3 and the dvi to my laptop
-
Newegg rules, a ps3 in their site has free shipping and no tax (compared to something like walmart with 21$ tax) but i'm getting all these cables from amazon, it was the cheapest option

im pretty sure the hdmi to dvi cable came with my monitor wen i got it....so i plug the dvi side into monitor and hdmi side into xbox.....wat else do i need...like for sound and stuff?

@skaterz49 You will also need composite audio cables. The XBOXes come with composite audio cables (red yellow and white.) I believe the older XBOXes have an issue with plugging in an hdmi and composite plug, due to the jacks being right next to each other. You should try the composite plug that came with the xbox before you look for an alternative.

Why not just use the HDMI (both male ends) to hook up your monitor to console? wouldn't that be 10x easier? well, i guess certain monitors only have VGA or DVI ports. but if mine supports an HDMI port couldnt i just do that? and the sound would go through too? i just want to know before i go out and spend 25 buck on an HDMI cable at Wally-World...

@Ballistic180 You can use an HDMI to HDMI if your monitor supports it. It should carry sound, but I doubt you'll like the quality of your monitor speakers.
