Do you realize the number of functions you are using for this simple model ?!... Please think to just a few time before make your construcion!! O_o

Thank you for the example. I just started using this software this semester and I have to say that it's, by far, the funnest class that I've ever taken. I kind of hate to say it but I like it better than machining itself, and I'm a machinist!

sorry, but next....

impressive!

This so cool! lolx i feel all nerd-ish and junk! but that was nice, i really suck and need to get wayyyy better! lolx
Upgrade to 2011. You can build faster with it. Use only one circular pattern for all your fillets and that second cut. If this part were becoming more complicated, the circular patterns and fillets and cuts would cause large rebuild times. Also, it's good practice to always dimension everything, even if it is arbitrary. That way you can click on the feature to call out its dimensions and make changes by editing the dimensions. Overall not bad but you could definitely improve your technique! :)

Quick question. Is there a difference between commercial versions of SW and the Education version of SW? My CAD teacher is a moron and thinks we can do all this crazy stuff but when we watch tutorials on youtube they use certain tools that we do not have.

The modeling tools should be the same, whether you are using an education or commercial version of solidworks.
The Toolbox add-in is might missing in the education version of SW, and the FEM/FEA are not so good either.
but still - the modeling tools should be the same.
