Well there are several Marathons held all over the world but the most famous one is the Philadelphia Marathon. For this years marathon 20,000 runners participated in it. Philadelphia Marathon is organized every year since 1954. It is hosted by the city of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. The Philadelphia Marathon is always held in November.
The Marathon started at 7 AM on Sunday, November 22. The starting location of the marathon was 22nd Street & Benjamin Franklin Parkway. At the start of the race the temperature was 40s & when the marathon finished, it was between 40s & 50s. The marathon certified course is 26.2 miles, Mayor Nutter started off each wave & everything seemed well organized. Like in every marathon there were a good number of water stops too & in three different places GU was handed out.

  • @shectersm Please send Emory this video and ask him to comment on it for me please. I would really appreciate it.

  • @shectersm Can you fill me in on those details, that's pretty lucky of you. How many miles per day do you run these days? I ran the Dublin Ireland Marathon in 1998. I loved it. You must do it some time, it's mostly down hill or level. Only the Irish make things that sweet for ya. Loved every second of it and the people running were so friendly and encouraging, it was like a dream. I did it all alone. my time was 4 hours, not bad for an amature, right? I trained for a year with a Pro named Mike.

  • emory mort is my cross country coach

  • Thank you, yes it was an exciting moment to watch over 20,000 people running a marathon just outside your front door that will change every one of their lives for the better. That's a lot of positive energy to be standing next to.

  • Wow, what great shots of the Front runners. Great view of race from above.
