@MazJax I'm sure they did find them. That's the whole point. Whether the boxes were intact or not is irrelevant. Officially, they reported no black boxes found. So officially, they lied...
If the audio wasn't salvageable, then why didn't they just say that? Why lie and say they didn't find them? My guess is that it was salvageable, and they lied about finding them because they have something to hide. Again, this is nothing new. The world (U.S. especially) has a history of this crap.

@ecclesiastes118 According to a conspiracy site, firefighters found three of the four black boxes. I doubt the back box will remain intact after a 500 mph impact with steel and then being crushed by a large tower. but 3 were found in total.
