OSU!!...Kyokushin is da shit.

@verkpel Alistair Overeem isn't a Kyokushin fighter. He is a dutch Muay Thai fighter.

@Seishiro1989 Haha yup. Kazuyoshi Ishii, the creator of K-1 was actually a Kyokushin Karate practitioner. I don't practice Kyokushin so I don't know the japanese names for the kicks but I've seen plenty of front kicks to the mid section, spinning back kicks to the head/liver and axe kicks used. Perfect examples of Kyokushin fighters in K-1 are Andy Hug and Semmy Schilt :D. And hey no problem man. Hope I answered your questions well enough.

I never think its good to bash but unfortunately because of the prevalence of MMA such exhibitions must be made to remind that karate is as legtimate striking base as muay thai or kickboxing. It is sad that some people undermine the spirit of martial arts and seek to agrandize thier ego by attaching themselves to a movement. regardless the variety of practioners from all backgrounds prove it is the fighter as much as the art. OSU!

@somfplease I made my research, true he has never been CAUGTH, but has fought only in Japan were no test are needed and avoided US rings. He got from 220 pound to 255 in 2 years. Sorry but let me be sceptical about this...

@kyokushinheart overeem has NEVER been caught with anything .. that complete BS

lol brazialans always doing free show!
First of all. All these fighters are without any doubt Kyokushin based fighters. The black belt stands for years of training. Due to the fact that Kyokushin is not a commercial sport, fighters step in to K1 to make a living out of fighting. Second of all, Kyokushin is not only asport, its a way of living. OSU!
