  • I've been un-employed, it's a horrible circle to be in, Job Centres are fucking useless I've yet to meet an advisor that actually cares to really help you get into work, they will send you to some agency that will get you 2 days work.

  • The last six jobs I pulled from their nasty little, flu-spreading, job-point machines were non-existent. Then they try to stop my allowance for not finding work.

    The people who work in Jobcentres are prime grist for the Common Purpose mill.

    I hate every one of the callous bastards.

  • I think the job centre plus they are a bit annoying when you have been with them I wish had a job I did nearly have a job but the people who were supposed to help me didn't that's why I have been claiming benefits since.

  • Motivational? Yeah right. I've had to deal with lots of unhappy staff. They have not helped me one bit. Like everyone else, I go for the money.

  • Claimant continues to call throughout the week but eventually told to call back and CLOSE the claim for ESA as the claim cannot be processed with a co-claim on 'the same system'...

    Claimant has to call and MANUALLY close ESA claim (even though housing benefit stopped as ESA claim 'closed') and re-open claim for JSA. A week later still no benefit... Claimant applies for dozens and dozens of inappropriate work, but not suitable as not medically fit for positions... Is this a just system?

  • Claimant rings the 0800 number to open the JSA claim.... All seems 'ok' and sent to office to agree Labour Market conditions and claimant signs the form and told to come back to sign on in 2 weeks.

    However, at the sign on the claimant (because of mental incapability) signs the form and doesn't ask questions.

    The next week no benefit received, so carer helps the claimant call JCP (08545 number). Claimant told still being assessed to call back in a week. Claimant calls again, then told 2 wait

  • How about this - on Employment Support Allowance for a severe disability, 12 weeks in claimant sent to a medical, deemed fit but there were inaccuracies on the medical statement (claiming patient had a stoma but had severe mental incapacity NOT bowel or bladder). Claimant told 'fit to work' after a 10 minute consultation with a non medical professional, so claimant doesn't have the will to appeal, so decides to claim JSA as advised on DWP letter.

  • I would also recommend people avoid job agencies and conduct independant research. In my experience job agencies exploit their clients for their own ends- they leave you in the dark with developments, get basic facts wrong, ask you to come to them and then ignore you. Avoid them.
