From my own personal experience of having this same piercing, I can say that the rook hurts more to get pierced, and the conch hurts more to heal. But yes, the rook IS in fact thicker than the conch, and is also more dense believe it or not. Granted, everyones ears are different, so there ARE some exception, I am generally speaking.

i got my conh done...yer its painfull a little but it looks sick and im gettin another one jst above so il hav 2 conch percings in one ear haha cant wait...

How did you find the conch? I have my rook and tragus, I'm too much of a baby to get my conch. It feels so freakin thick!! I just can't imagine.

That's the trouble my boyfriend and I are running in to is lighting. But It's still a sweet piercing. And it's always good to see vids of people who do it right and go to a good shop instead of who knows what. I hope you enjoy the new ear!
