View of the Bláa Lónið, Blue Lagoon, in the southwest corner of Iceland near Grindavik. The pools are fed by geothermal hotsprings that are also used to generate electricity and hot water as is seen in the nearby factory. The Blue Lagoon also has a silica mud that is supposed to be very good for your skin as well. The day was perfect for laying in the hot water and just lounging about, this is a must see and do on any trip to Iceland. There was also a restaurant, cafeteria, cafe, masseuses and more available at the Lagoon.
