The Jacobites (Nikki Sudden/Dave Kusworth) song, 'So Unkind' from the "God Save Us Poor Sinners" record, released in 1998.
words by: Kusworth
music by: Sudden / Kusworth / Tranter / Williams
from the LP sleeve notes written by Tudor Vernon:
One of the two co-written songs on the album. This song evolved from a jam session at Robannas rehearsal rooms in Birmingham. Carl Eugene Picot had left the room and Kusworth began playing the song's riff...Nikki picked up the bass guitar and played along. The lyrics were improvised, mainly on the spot, and later emended. When the band plays this song live, Dave always introduces it as being "a song about addiction". Recorded at the same session which also resulted in 'Blonde Angel' and the 'Teenage Christmas' single that accompanies this LP. Dave Kusworth had a broken arm at the time of the session, and therefore had to overdub his lead guitar parts at a later date.
Thanks for uploading this. RIP NIkki
