Located on the northern coast of Spain, Santander is served by both standard gauge and narrow gauge rail lines. In the city of Santander, the stations each line are located side by side. The first half of the footage here is of narrow gauge operations followed by standard gauge trains located immediately to the north.

These clips will be featured in an upcoming episode of the TV series Trackside. Go to www.trainweb.org/tracksideonline for more information.

  • Indeed, very nice video and excellent image selection, composition and editing.

As written on the "About this video" section... but I would like to specify for Dutchtrainman...the first trains belong to FEVE and its gauge is 1000m

The second set are Renfe's. 1668mm (Ancho Ibérico) only used in Spain and Portugal.

    Met vriendelijke groeten... Saludos.

  • The widest gauge in Europe.. surpassing Ireland (1600 mm) and the Russian gauge (1524 mm)

  • No, in Spain gauge rail lines is 1668 mm, except High Speed Lines, which are 1435 mm gauge

  • Nice video,in Spain 1435 mm gauge rail lines???
