After 35 years as the head softball coach at Muskingum College, a NCAA Division III coach in New Concord, Oho, Donna Newberry was honored with the highest acheivement.
On Friday, December 12, 2008 in Marco Island, Florida Newberry was one of six coaches inducted into the exclusive National Fastpitch Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
Her 858 career wins are the most ever in D-III history, where she has also captured 18 Ohio Athletic Conference championships, including the last 11 in a row. She's take her team to the College Softball World Series eight times and won a National Championship in 2001.
She has coached 13 all-americans, as well as D-III's all-time home runs leader (Mandy Carnes, 59) and all-time leader in pitching wins (Erica Hoyt-Minner, 120).
