Evening Track session at Knockhill. This was session 1 Part 1 Novice/Intermediate group. Bike is a Triumph Daytona 675 and video is filmed with a GoPro HD camera @ 720p 30fps. Mounted using suction cup on fuel tank.

Raw video edited using Quicktime Pro to bring size down. Encoded at 4 mbit/s.

Excellant first track day of the year and for once the weather was fine. Used the first session just to check suspension settings and just get a feel for her again. Bike performed superb with the exception of the main straight when the pace car pulled in, you can see the bike losing power which is my old EXUP Valve problem again. After that though it was flawless.

Please post if you were up there.

Cheers, Johnny.

  • Hey, nice vid man really good quality so thumbs up. How do you find the 675 to live with? Are they reliable etc, see you've got some exhaust valve problems is this common? Im thinking of upgrading from a 99 R6 to a 675 08 or 09 when i save the money up. I think they're absolutley beautiful but i don't want to be having to fix problems all the time, they're made to be enjoyed afterall. Thanks in advance!

  • @murphys87 Howdy and thanks for the comment. With the exception of the Exup valve the bike has been flawless. The valve itself is a well known and documented problem on the original models (06-08 I think?). Unfortunately my dealer, not for trying, struggled to identify what was going on with mine. Sorted it myself in the end with a new servo from ebay (under £30). As for living with the bike I love it. Only thing I'd change it for is a newer one lol. Really mega recommended!

  • hi fella, i was the chap on the black gixxer - you pulled into the pits behind me after the 2nd session and said you had a good vid of me and the bloke on the R6

  • @cowboyjonk5 Hi m8y, I've had to split each session into 2 for youtube. So there will be 6 vids in total. I should have all 6 up by tomorrow, just takes a while to encode them then upload them.

Hope you had a good night, I'm still buzzing from it. Just booked up for the 1st May session!

  • @cowboyjonk5 Meant to say, really good footage of you in session 3 right at the start!
