Well, judging by the stills photo, this production may actually REVERSE the modern trend away from CDs to DVDs! Some fine singing (presumably James Rutherford) in arguably the most difficult aria Sachs has to sing during the 5 hour marathon: "Euch macht ihr's leicht" : there's just nowhere to hide! Rutherford brings it off very well, I think; after this piece 'Verachtet mir die Meister nicht" is like a lap of honour, though you have to save something for the top Es at the end.
