imagine a normal drop c guitar with 2 extra strings that provide open power chords an octave below. i've been wanting to do this for a while, so i eventually bought an 8 string guitar and did it.

  • u got some meat for me? cuz ur definately a butcher. Plz stop.

  • @fingersuvfireNfury haters gonna hate. you guys have to realize that the low c is mostly for the low chunking sound as a rhythm in breakdowns. it's kinda useless to have to 2 guitars playing the same exact thing, so i just match my other guitarist on a lower octave for breakdowns.

  • Why do you have it in drop c twice?

  • @midgitmanxx because i wanted to have a very extended range. it's still drop c, but it's in another octave. having a 2nd drop c allows me to just imitate the shapes i played up top, but in a lower octave. also, the string is really damn thick and not meant for my machine head, so tuning it higher may break the guitar.

  • my acoustic is 25.5 and my other ibanez smae length, not much good for drop tuning

  • @SwirlyBrokenHearts i think mine is only 26

  • That's not C0. Normal drop C is C3, that's C2.

    C0 is just a fart.

  • Very Impressive!

  • I like it !! =D

  • proof the top comment is B.S snurl(dot)com/21mk242 i know you cant post links, but normal drop C is C2, the one demonstrated here is C1. C-0 is pretty hard to achieve but not impossible, it DOES exist and is NOT a "fart" search for contrabass, that's the proper term, or 9 + string bass they are used. everything below C1 is a zero then double zero but i agree that would be inaudiable. i.e B0 A0 G0 etc. the warwick vampyre darklord bass goes to f#0. get educated people.

  • @gxlxs learn something before TRYING to state facts, go fcking look at a piano pitch sheet and prove me wrong. it IS 3 semitones (sharps) above the lowest note on traditional grand piano. 27.5 IS A-0 (the same note on "drop a bass guitar") otherwise it would be a "fart" but its not. i can hear the bottom notes quite easy. go look at a piano pitch diagram on google.

  • Icarus died!

  • @BeDjentleAZ Lets see some work then kid, prove me wrong. Cause I'm sure as hell not taking your word for it punk.

  • @JonathanAmaralMusic oh believe me im above you ;) and this guy in the video and 90% of all the bands on KUPD

  • @LessthanJake14 If you take central C on piano (2º string, 1º fret on guitar) as a C3 (like many people do), Drop C have a C1, and Drop C on bass or this guitar would be a C0. But other people take central C as a C4 or even C5, like you are doing. Just different systems.

  • Well this was horrible.

  • @BeDjentleAZ

Says the guy with no display of their music, and the fact that he has "Djent" in his username. You're not above anyone, not even the shit kids that walk into Guitar Center to wank and show off a new scale they learned.

    Glad we agree though.
