@74Cheshire - LOL, okay, I needed another coffee. Makes sense now :P

The formulas don't even work on the example given in the video... Derp. Total Score shown is 332, with one death. No matter how you interpret the formula used for 'Your Strength', these values, won't result in 196.

Too freakin' complicated. What a way to put a downer on the game.

Aha...but what score do you get if the enemy is charging at you and you move out of the way and it runs off the cliff? I'm guessing zero.

1) i'm pretty sure too much time enemies do not count for scoring.
2) i'm pretty sure the is no limit to the number of deaths multiplier. Also note that falling off the screen also counts as a death. So if you knock the guy over, then zap it 3 times with magic, then it falls off the screen, that's 5x!

oh those wacky programmers!

I wonder... do dark skeletons count toward score?

Thank you so much for this, I had a feeling dying divided your total score but I had no idea how the game even scored you in the first place. Time to crush my old scores!

Cool.
Thanks for putting this up. I remember I always wondered how this scoring system worked back in the day.
Good to know I'm not the only freak for this sort of in-depth stuff.

I still say this video is awesome. I admit to being a little confused the first time I saw it because I suck at math, but you rule for figuring out the equation.
