Good Ship Handling

Taken from The Lady Washington, the ship used in filming The Pirates of the Caribbean. Filmed on Lake Union in Seattle July 12, 2009. The Lady Washington had an excellent crew. Gathering background material for my next novel in the Inventors' Daughter series, I traveled with them up the Washington coast in June from the Columbia River bar to Westport. I couldn't quite get the name of the ship that threaded the needle around us, but it was handled well, and perhaps used a pinch of sailor's luck. This was shot (not terribly well by me, I should say) using a JVC Everio GZ-MS100.
