It can only be spread amongst Devils. Normally, the immunosystem tracks down and destroys all disease and foreign cells. Problem with cancer is, is that your own cells behave badly and the system cannot attack its own cells. This also means that another's cancer cells are normally harmless because the system reckognizes them as foreign. The Devil's problem is inbreeding. They're so genetically similar that they don't reckognize eachother's cells as foreign.
