Removing the differential steering and installing 2.4 Gig spread spectrum results in an outstanding flyer that looks like a scale B-17. The counter rotating props really keep it headed straight. A lot of flying for $40.

  • can you cheack in modelzone.co.uk B-17 Radio Control EPP Foam Plane and tell me if that is the same as this with wheels but only different colour???????

  • @XxTheStarDrummerxX I think its the same plane . I suggest you buy two of them so you will have some spare motors. The motors are counter rotating so you have to pay attention to the motor diode polarity. If you dont the diodes may smoke!! The motors are fragile, thats the weak part of this otherwise excellent plane.

  • @twinten i dont get what the Diodes are because i am kind of new with planes and in the picture it has no wheels?? Whats that about???

  • @XxTheStarDrummerxX Each motor has a diode across the terminals to supress sparking of the brushes. If you run the motor the wrong way, you will smoke the diode. So when rewiring the motors, be sure you dont even momentarily get the polarity wrong. Make a note of the diode position and the polarity of each motor so if you replace it you get the correct polarity. At first I took all the diodes off to avoid this, but I think that may shorten the life of the motors. The wheels clip in.

  • one more question, i purchased a 2 ch 4 motor plane- the b29 that never flew- and it had the 4 motors hooked up to a connector that had 4 wires on it. is this different as u say there r only 2 wires to hook up to the esc? thanks again.

  • As I remember it, the two inside wires on the connector are hooked up to the black wire on the ESC and the two outside wires to the red. I might have the poliarity wrong. Try hooking up a 1.5 volt flashlite battery to the motor connector to determine prop rotation and poliarity first for safety. You have to be a little inovative sometimes. And maybe study up a bit on electronics too.
