How To Root The Samsung Epic 4G!

12/18/2011 - As YOU MAY or MAY NOT know, you can NOT use this method to root gingerbread! You have to use ODIN to flash custom recovery and then apply an su.zip in recovery.

If you are having trouble with your phone. the Sprint people WILL SAY "Is it ok to reset your phone. We NEED to do a hard reset." So If you're trying to get out of erasing all of your apps and etc, then you just need to suck it up that either they won't fix your phone because it's rooted, or you can flash it stock yourself and it WILL GET RID OF the root. I mean, the program tells you EXACTLY what to do! It's dummy proof.

Since it's rooted (if you're wanting to unroot and/or flash back to stock), I HIGHLY recommend installing Titanium Backup (all you need is the free version to back up with one click)

@huevorosado root it to back up your app data (like your angry birds game save) and save it to your sdcard or upload it to the internet, so that you can restore it if you have to wipe your phone, or if you get a new phone. and to get free wifi tether without paying 30 bucks a month

I simply can't find it (I even tried youtube search engine), could you please shate that actual (c&p or share link button) link with me please? (just to simplify it at this point? ) I'm running youtube from my phone (its just easier) since I use pdanet to supply inter-web to my pc. I think the mobile version may possibly be limiting the amount of videos I can see for "related videos" idk. thanks
