I find it sad that the vast majority of pilots nowadays don't get any tailwheel training. I am old school enough to think that a person should get proficient at tailwheel landings, (both wheel landings and 3 point) and proficient at spin recoveries before they get their private pilots license. I know that many of the companies in Alaska and Canada will not hire a commercial pilot unless they are proficient at these skills.

Our 46 aeronca club plane did 2 yesterday. God I hate tail draggers, lol.

ay ay ay ay yay, RIP for the pilots

I saw a pivot around a wheel when they held the brake on one side of the aircraft and punched the throttle. Didn't see a ground loop though.

@Jamie1P608 technically that is a ground loop. lol

Ground Loop ... Yeah right!
Do you know what a ground loop is?

@mctim64 Oh, I am over it. However, I find it odd that you get a kick out of misleading people. Youtube is used, for most, primarily as an education tool. I am a pilot looking to begin a tailwheel transition and was looking to see an example of an actual groundloop so when I see BS, I'll call you on it.

Good luck with your transition, hopefully you will never really know what a "groundloop" is. there are those that have and those that will, I unfortunately had one my first time out. Busted the landing gear on the Chief and scraped a wing on the ground. After six months and a recover job I had the plane back in the air. That was 21 years ago, never again. Have fun, tailwheel is more rewarding than any other plane. Cheers!

that wasn't a ground loop!
(hence the gear didn't almost bend, there was no prop strike and the wing didn't dip into the ground) lol

@Jamie1P608 Although what you just described did happen to this airplane a few years earlier. lol
