This is a full League of legends solo-que game where I show how to activate Tear of the Goddess enough times to become HP efficient on singed.

Note, the 4 (non-irelia) enemies are an arranged team that I know. They knew my capabilities and decided to focus me in most team fights, have fun watching the TotG stacks go up:).

  • All the equations and number crunching in the world doesn't change the fact that the catalyst passive is amazing for lane sustain. You can do a lot of things you can't otherwise because of that level up bonus hp/mana.

You do the same with Sunfire cap, and Rylais in all your factoring. You can't ignore every other unique passive just because they're different or don't fit into your HP/Mana/Gold statistics.

  • @llJiggyFlyll I agree. The Catalyst Passive is amazing for lane sustain. I argue that Level 2 boots is better for running middle, then top, then back middle. If there is a fight that takes my HP down, me and my team will be not much worse of by me blue-pilling and running back to the lane with Singed's speed. In regards to leaving my ally alone bottom lane. I typically take the place of a support in the Typical Support-Carry lane. Catalyst=good for lane, I don't lane much.

  • So around how many minutes after I get tear should I upgrade it to AA staff?

  • @banoka08

After finishing (boots, Tear, RoA) it is time to engage team fights and Singed needs enough MR and Armor to survive plenty of hits. The Archangel's should be purchased after Singed can survive a full engage.

Point is that Archangel's doubles Singed's damage but he needs to be able to tank long enough to poison and throw the enemy champions. This is typically after FoN and half the time after Frozen Heart.

Archangel's isn't worth rushing for on Singed, but ToG definitely is.

  • wow only 52m 30 sec. that is so fast. i can't believe how wrong i was. you have opened my eyes.

  • @Senkon

and if you look at when tear is better in regards to Health than other items:

Game time in regards to HP/g:

    20m:30s: Tear > Rylais

    22m:50s: Tear > Sunfire

    22m:50s: Tear > Banshee's

    32m:30s: Tear > catalyst

    42m:47s: Tear > RoA

It only takes 52m:30s to max out, its the same fallacy to say soul stealer isn't worth it until it is maxed out at 20 stacks.

ohh, and now that SoS includes item based mana, an additional14hp/5s is also added to this equation.

Singed is more of an AP bruiser than a tank. Bruisers need enough survival items to survive a beating while giving out enough damage not to be ignored. Please play the Bonus game, and compare to how many games you are involved with 94% of the enemy deaths.

p.s. 2 deaths in exchange for 3 kills + First blood. Give food to my carry (fiddlesticks) and save him from 2 ganks. I must be doing it wrong.

  • @DIRazmuffin You do realize that you basically proved how much stronger catalyst is right? 32m30s is ALOT of time's worth for just 400g more

  • I know this is kinda outdated but I love your guide so much I just cant stop using it but now with the new masteries and a few changes, you think you can update to up Nov-2011?

  • @DIRazmuffin

This doesn't seem good enough. Most games I can grab RoA by 15 minutes, so by 25 minutes my RoA has Tear beaten until 42:47s? I know you also grab RoA afterwards, but I find you can max Singed's potential with just Boots of Swiftness, RoA and FoN, and basically everything else is gravy. (Except maybe Chain Mail).

Not to mention Singed often tops out over 3500 HP (which is more than enough) with RoA and another HP item, and never really has mana problems after just Mana Crystal.

  • CRAZYMAN ACTIVATED! ...dies 5 seconds later.

  • @DIRazmuffin Question, why not just go RoA, Merc or Boots of Swiftness, then a rylais. Your already tanky enough then have alot of mana and ap with a perma slow?

  • @drewsuismclovin I don't know where you got the "most pros never even get RoA", but that isn't true. Dyrus is one of the better singed players and he uses it. As with any item build it changes based on how well you are doing. But it is also true that tear is not a good idea for singed... He is a very strong mid game champ, but late game he loses some of that unless he can stay more farmed than the enemy team. Tear just doesn't help him during his strong point in the game to make it worth it.
