Many (including myself) share the opinion that Harry Gregson-Williams did not do that great of a job on the soundtrack for "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe." Particularly, the music for Aslan's resurrection did not reflect the grandeur and awe of the moment. Here, I illustrate what might have been if a mightier score had been added.

"No one is ever told what WOULD have happened." But this is what COULD have happened.

  • Superb. Could you please re-score the rest of the film please?

  • Well, I'm flattered, but I'm afraid it's simply out of the question. I don't know that there is enough soundtrack music that would fit the whole film.

  • Nice sound but NOTHING compares to Gregon's score. I'm sorry.

  • Funny enough, I quite agree. But I don't think we have the same intent.

  • No Harry did a great job the music in this movie rocked why did u have to turn it around the music rocked

  • I'm kind of a soundtrack connoisseur, and comparing this not just against other soundtracks, but against other soundtracks in the context of the film they were intended for, and the LWW score comes up short. His work on Shrek was pretty good, but he has a tendency to reuse his old themes, giving us few new tracks for the subsequent Shrek films.

Someone else posted a video of HGW's score for Kingdom of Heaven, VERY similar to the LWW battle score.

  • Actually, I thought Harry Gregson-Williams composed beautiful, enchanting music that was absolutely perfect for the movies. The music in this video was interesting, but not it didn't have a very Narnian feel. I give you credit for trying, but the movie's original score was far better.

  • Now, I personally think that Harry did a great job on every song but for the resurrection scene. When I watched LWW on opening night, this was the only scene that didn't touch my emotions.

Your mix did the trick! This is the way the scene should have been. Good job.!! :)

  • I absolutely love the LWW soundtrack. But great job!!! The music gave me chills!

  • yeah, but the music kinda removes the awe-struck feeling, sometimes its better to be simple and quiet than grand

  • interesting job, but I'm used to the original soundrack!!

  • wow. When I started watching it, I didn't expect it to touch me in that way. (:

    Amazing.

  • i plan on rescoring this film for for my distinguished scholars project, how did you take the original score from this film and still keep the dialogue?

  • I liked the score on narnia better

  • i love there faces when the see aslan
