we have a 1999 Tiburon...it's tight on space for me because im tall but it's a good car.
-
Oh...because Tiburon is Spanish for shark, and it's...yeah, like that movie with Roy Scheider...okay...

@ChelseaGoldfish actually my tiburon is classified as a coupe by my insurance company.I agree that it is not a sports car. I still love that car. It has decent stock speed, good upgrade ability, and its a good looking car. It also handles well in any road condition. I think Hyundai did good. no regrets whatsoever in the ownership of this vehicle. Its sad that they no longer make them.

all two door cars are considered sports cars fuckin lemming.....and as all haters would say. the tib aint shit....well after i put my t6 turbo in ill race you in anything you got and smoke it with my tiburon

12 years after that they show the americans and in some cases japanese and europeans to build cars.. amazing improvements

Regardless of what some people say about how crappy the Tiburon was it was the first car to truly put Hyundai on the map. Before then Hyundai cars were just economic boxes. When the first Tiburon debuted it was a big hit for Hyundai. So you can say that this car was the Grand father of Hyundai's hig performance cars.
i must say this is by far still the best tiburon ad. alot of people still don't know that it means shark.

Well by insurance standards its a sports car, however it was actually made and is classified as a sports COUPE which means it was never supposed to be compared with an actual sports car. Also any car can be fast with the right modifications so your argument is kind of mute.
