Cinderella - From town to town ( Dutch psych folk ) 1973

Girl band with an amazing composition "From town to town". The mostly female members came from different places in Holland like Zaandam, Oegstgeest and the Hague. On this single they were backed up by the boys of Blue Planet.

Fair is fair: the incredible lead guitar solo was played by Blue Planet's guitarist Aad van der Kreeft.

15-5-2011 Soon a few photographs of this amazing girlband Cinderella from the early seventies!! The group started in 1969 with the name " The Sperzieboontjes " with only the 3 girls. Later on in 1970 the drummer Nico van Es fro The Hague joined the band and the name became "Cinderella". In that period it was one of the few female bands in Holland. Cinderella has one official single: " From town to town" and the rest of the songs are recorded on tape.

@nottoberemembered Thanks for those recommendations, I'll check those out. Although not completely alike, Vashti Bunyan - Train Song and Saffron - Vision Is A Lonely Word kind of invoke the same neurological circuitry in my head. They both consist of a beautiful, melancholic and cyclic melody and lovely female vocals.
