Ruth is delighted to see Joe when he comes in with Izzie and Lisa. Joe tells Ruth that he works at a clinic in a suburb of Boston which is doing incredible things with mental illness and that Ruth should come and see them sometime. Ruth says she'd love to.

Zara feels awkward when she meets Joe as she's unsure what Daniel has told him. Izzie responds to Zara, who tells Joe they're old friends. Zara hurries back to work and Joe seems impressed. At Lisa's, Joe tells Daniel he met Zara and thought she was an impressive young woman. Daniel doesn't know where his uncle is taking this, but it's incredibly complicated and Joe backs off.

At the Campus, Julia keeps mentioning Joe, and Elaine and Heston question whether something romantic happened between them. Julia pooh poohs this, saying that he was just a wonderful partner and she misses him. Elaine thinks there's more to it and Julia blushes and leaves.

Meanwhile, the unexpected arrival of Rob's Auntie Ag throws the Hollins family into red alert. She arrives like the Queen of Sheba and upsets Karen and Immie, who go to Immie's room. This forces Rob to entertain his aunt alone. Jack is nowhere to be seen and isn't answering his calls.

Elsewhere, in today's story of the day, a face from Simon's past forces him to explain himself.
