Very funny video. I'll have to find out when this was, but I remember this storm ended up being much, much less than advertised. About 12" maybe.
Comparing snow in the mountains of Utah with the snow in the cities of the Northeast US is silly. The impact difference is population. For information, google Northeast Snowfall Impact Scale.
This was great, would have liked an ending however like explaining just how wrong they were or at least providing the date I don't remember a storm in 2001.
As I recall, sometime after this disaster of a weather report, Schwoegler quit (most likely because of Mother Nature's refusal to cooperate and churn out the storms he kept claiming were coming, scaring the hell outta people with such reports).
Of course, he's also the one that said that the '78 blizzard wasn't going to be all that big a deal, too..
I remember them, aven;'t seen them since I left Boston in 1981

That's annoying...can't seem to post the link to the actual snowfall map from this storm.
It is on the National Weather Service Boston Office site if you are interested.

OK, I found it. This storm was March 5 thru 7, 2001. Still a very big storm, but it did not live up to the hype in southern New England

@bostonmediaguy I thought that the Boston area didn't get as much snow as projected, but I thought northern New England did get a historic snowstorm.
