This is THE MOST beautiful song I have ever heard! I am ex Army MP and seen a lot of things...but this and the love God, has made me seen how much I love him and our heroes over seas...Me, and most of all, Jesus loves you!!!

The kid tries to pick roses for his mom and gets thorns stuck in his hands. The parallel is that the kid hurts his hands while doing something beautiful for someone he loves. It helps him to understand better how Jesus "hurt his hands" getting nailed to the cross doing something beautiful for the people he loves.
