@1hildegard I see what you mean in this performance, about a certain automatic sound here and there. Vittoria is perhaps more vulnerable to falling down from lack of performance delicacy than some of the other composers. But it's not a drastic flaw -- it just needs to be given back a little of its fur instead of being shaved so close in future. At least with Vittoria. I find some of alqasar's other offerings fresh, charming, clean and not at all mechanical.

Vocal clarity, tuning: exquisite. The words communicate anger, despair, resignation. I am disappointed, therefore, to hear such a mechanical approach. Renaissance music is the stuff of human emotion, flesh & blood. It is *language,* the language of * people* who suffer, who rejoice. In this language, syllables have different weights, phrases are uttered with varying intensity, emotion has its own cadence in time; THE CLICK TRACK HAD NOT BEEN INVENTED YET. Try again, respecting the words.
