Hi Folks,
We would be glad to answer any questions about the Laser Stars or any of the BlissLights Laser Starfield projector which our friend LaserRandy designed. You can find lots more videos, photos and descriptions of these and other special effects lighting that he has created at our web site LasersandLightsdotcom
Thanks for showing off this amazing home lighting effect.

what is this song?
-
ummm im trying to think what to compare it to... its not that loud. Maybe like a cpu fan running or a quietish extractor fan. I think ud get used to it quickly like any other dull noise.
-
hey there, i was wondering if this product is loud in a very quiet room?
-
Ive had it for a day and its great, the stars shimmer and more and theres the odd shooting star. The blue nebula stays in the same position but warps and changes like a cloud of gas.
No reason to ever go outside now my geeky friends!

How big of room was this filmed in? How high is the ceiling?

The video was perhaps only a 12 sqft section of the ceiling. The entire surface of the 15'x21' (315 sqft), 8' high ceiling was covered in thousands of green stars.
I'd say the higher the ceiling, the better. The stars in the center of the display are so intensely bright, I thought I was going to go blind.
As I said before, unfortunately it is nearly impossible to capture the full effect of this thing.

Would a 20-25 foot ceiling to be high? Or would it still hold up well?

That should be just fine. Check the reviews at scientificsonline; third comment is:

We bought one for use in the 40 ft. Gene Roddenberry Planetarium. It covered the front half of the dome with great moving stars and a moving nebula. It blows away most the the $500+ effects we use in the planetarium. We will use it in our trip to a black hole show.
