Just wondering if anyone can help identify these hawks from the calls. They came on my property in July and screech all day. July is too late to breed but they seem to stay close to my land and talk to one another?? I don't know much about hawks so I would appreciate you input. I have seen at least one and it was medium sized (I detected no red tail)

  • Today Jan 27 on NBC news, I don't know if you saw it, there was a segment about starling attacks in La Grange, KY where I visit a lot. The birds come in thousands. I was there one week in December when my friend's house was littered with poop when the flock came by.

  • @billboardnumber1 Yes, certain parts of Kentucky had been overwhelmed with starlings/black birds over the years. I seems to happen less frequently by when I was younger they would really take over an area by the thousands. And yes they make a mess.
