I think these are mosquitoes, probably Culex pipiens. They arose from an indoor vase where we had a basil sprig taking root for some time.

  • The one at the top of the frame is hanging out at the surface. Eventually they hatched into mosquitoes, or something that looked a LOT like mosquitoes.

  • Once i got some larvae's just like this in a bottle, untill i found a full size mosquito sitting in there, then i took the bottle and threw it on a camp fire

  • Are they midge larvae?

  • it doesn't look like it's mosquito larvae or culex pipien larvae. none of them are sticking their siphons to the surface

  • Yes these are moquito larvae the one little comma looking one in back that went to the top is a pupea.
