Tornado that passed by my place near downtown Dallas on 9-8-10. My first one to catch on video!

**Thanks for all your views and comments. To answer a few of the questions: Video was shot at 6:15 P.M. It was an EF-2 with 115 MPH winds. It touched down three times, causing the most damage at Mockingbird and Industrial Blvd. It was one of six tornadoes that touched down in and around the DFW Metroplex that day. The larger building in the background (located around the 3 minute mark) is UT Southwestern Medical Center at Inwood and Harry Hines Blvd.**

    Hey DX, it's a TORNADO

  • so it was technecly near the anatole on th I 35E corridor

  • THAT HURRICANE RUIN MY B-DAY DX

  • first the flood, then a tornado in the same day.

  • I was near it, tonado sirens went off but we did not see it!

  • @PoppaBlue59: "I think it isw only a matter of time until a whopper plows over us." Me too. =(

  • The Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex has had some very near misses over the years. Most of the tornados we have had have been relativly small, short-lived ones. The 1957 tornado was the exception, of course, and that one was a "near miss" when you consider what it could have been. I think it isw only a matter of time until a whopper plows over us. I hope i am wrong though! Nice video. Thanks for posting.

  • @Vinson37Me It actually started to come back down out of the clouds a second time around Love Field, after I had stopped recording, but it didn't make it all the way to the ground.

  • was about 1 mile away at Lovefield, saw it, not so scary
