This is the story of the Shelter Learning Community, a Packard Foundation funded forum for executives from nine local shelter and emergency service organizations from Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Mateo and San Benito Counties providing emergency shelter and other safety net services for homeless families and battered women. The Learning Community group meets regularly to share, exchange, and learn from each other best and promising practices.
The Packard Foundation engaged Story4 to use multimedia and visual storytelling to tell the story of the Shelter Learning Community. This video is designed to highlight the development of the Learning Community; participants' experiences in the Learning Community and how it has contributed to their professional development and leadership; and lessons learned.
