The conversations about God seem to appear most often in reference to this mass. Just something I noticed.

¡Bien!:
Musica que baja del cielo a la tierra o bien que sube de la tierra al cielo.
En este caso el coro, orquesta y Herrenweghe, simplemente estan perfectos y acaso divinos.

if u told that to bach he would slap u in the face and ask u how its possible that some average human like u judges his ideas when he's a genius and u are obviously not.

berso888 can you please explain why do you say that bach involuntarily proved that someone can do just fine with or without god?

True, but there's no proof that the hand of God was NOT involved somehow. These types of discussions turn out to be little more than pissing contests. Either you believe, or you don't.

Ultimately, this is great music and people enjoy and UNDERSTAND it on many different levels. But, although there is no proof for or against the existence of God, there IS plenty for how this music could have come about without divine intervention. Saying "it must by by God" because of its greatness is a most ridiculous, non-sequitur argument. And for a professional musician, trust me, Bach's music has many explanations and reasons for being possible.
