The atomic bombing, its aftermath, and a WW2 Pacific retrospective to "Agnus Dei," arranged and performed by the Santa Barbara Quire of Voyces. Look at the faces. The quote at the end comes from a US infantryman and subsequent scholar.

  • Is the Footage of the B29 at the end of this video that of the 'Bockscar' landing on Tinian Island?

  • @marmaladekamikaze

No. It is the same B-29 variant General Sweeney describes as having been developed for the atomic bombing missions, but I believe this particular aircraft is landing at the training base at Wendover Field, Utah. Los Alamos National Labs supplied me with the footage for use in the documentary.

Ah I see, do you know if there is any footage of the Bockscar landing? and I was incorrect, they landed in Okinawa and not Tinian. Thank you for the reply, it must have been very enlightening to be in contact with the video department of LANL, I can only imagine!
