Could individuals have different rates at which their muscles repair, requiring less or more days than the 7 day average recommendation? And could it also vary between age, sex and race? I haven't read your book yet, just interested

On a bench machine that offers wide or narrow grips for the bench, which should we use? The Book days narrow for overhead press, but doesn't address bench. Thanks

What's with the broom handle bicep curls? According to DM the whole idea of standardising workouts is so progress is completely measurable from week to week. If someone is just pushing down on a piece of wood how can you measure the equivalent weight and hence progress.
Not to mention this female trainee has not failed on any set.

@livinlowcarbman yes, that is to get oxygen to the muscle, overriding the impulse to hold your breath and push against the breath.

The short breathing is better for you I guess.

What's with the short breathing at around 3:30? Is that normal for her to breathe like that while lifting super slow?
