WOW,I remember going to the old railyards in Chicago with my dad way back in the mid 80's and those are some real old school trailers. The only familiar trailer I saw was the old Conrail trailer.
I sat at the westmont station 3 years ago with my hubby where he grew up watching BN. He commented on how even then it was rare to see a Caboose go by. 2 Minutes later a BNSF Intermodal blows by and 4 BN Green cabooses on the rear being shuffled back to Chicago. It was an awesome sight indeed. They still had their BN Logos too.
Absolutely perfect. Just as I remember them as a kid visiting my dad at work. He was the yardmaster at Oakworth station in Decatur. You'd think model railroaders would have more piggybacks. Not sure if it's just his yard, but seems like most cars were piggyback at the time(~1980).
Nice! Love all those 89 footers! I just ordered a bunch of the accurail kits so I can run twin 45's. Love the classic power too!

I'll have a G-Scale club member of mine photograph that. He's got a USA Trains SD40 with that very same scheme.
