the US military tried that back in the 60's. There were officers wives driving around military housing areas in jet powered cars lol. it was not very practical for many reasons

This engine looks great. I know Mooney is operating on a skeleton staff during these tough economic times. I hope that Mooney's interest in this engine does not dictate its fate. I'm also curious if Rolls Royce will make this engine available to kit builders as well as certified aircraft manufacturers.
