  • I have loved this woman since I first heard her music.......no one can compare to her!

She has a voice no one could even begin to sing like her. I wish we still had her with us. Rest in Peace

  • James Gurley never got the press he rightly deserved. All you have to do is listen once and you know the man felt every note he played. Magical.

  • EPIC! Nothing else to say!

  • @melicharm1 they band wasn't just a thrown together back up band like kozmic blues hey were quite fine even before Janis however, chick appeal, a shapely ass beats all

  • Personne, depuis elle!

  • Nobody, since her!!!

  • wow.this is real music..you can really feel it..

  • I mean Etta, Koko, Taj made remixes on Joplin's hits. Really superb. But Janis is Janis

  • I think it's one of the best Joplin's blues and one of the most tragic things. I've got it sung by Etta James in 2000s. Some monsters like Koko Taylor,Etta James, Taj Mahal ...Well done. They are great. Janis was unique. Uncomparable

  • please, i bought a rare cd that i found this rare version of ball and chain. can anybody say me what place it was realesed this record ?

  • I fully agree with James Gurley was melicharm1 beginnings of a style and psychedelic distortion effects, taking up a conspiracy between him and hendrix, just that he died and the media is disclosed is a pity our media be so, do not give a value to those who deserve Peter Albin, David Getz and Sam Andrews and god janis not lag behind others also are beautiful lol.

  • "Sittin’ down by my window,

Honey, lookin’ out at the rain.

Oh, Lord, Lord, sittin’ down by my window,

Baby, lookin’ out at the rain.

Somethin’ came along, grabbed a hold of me, honey,

And it felt just like a ball and chain.

Honey, that’s exactly what it felt like,

    Honey, just dragging me down."
