Here is an ITV schools interval with the rotomotion in the style of the ITV generic logo from 1989 changing colours to the rhythm of The Journey. Enjoy!!!!

  • Just a bit of thought. Why couldn't ITV Schools On Channel 4 changed the logo when ITV updated it's logo back in 1989?

  • Because it was thought that the ITV rotomotion looked better in execution apparently. The original idea behind the logo was that Channel 4 and S4C had to provide a national schools programme service by reflecting the national curriculum in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. There were occasions when there were regional opt-outs for HTV Wales (transmitted on S4C), Ulster, Grampian, Scottish and Border Scotland.

  • If I am correct, S4C had there own version of the rotomotion, with the S4C name replacing ITV, and the same for the countdown.

  • @racrimbpsvc This was only for when Welsh language schools programmes were shown which were produced for S4C either by HTV Wales or BBC Wales.
