CHAD CHANEY BAND is a band with purpose. Lead singer Chad Chaney, taking a huge leap of faith, moved to Austin, Texas four years ago when he got the calling to leave behind a life of "selfish dreams" in the acting business. Chad was well on his way to living that dream, when the Lord gave him a greater purpose for his life- a call to ministry. The choice was instantaneous and the move from his previous locale in Hollywood, CA, departing for Austin, was made that very week. Not knowing anyone in Austin, he took his first leadership position in a singles ministry where he found an audience hungry for what he was being called upon to offer. From that moment, Chad knew he was put on this earth with one purpose- to outwardly worship the King of Kings.

A chance encounter soon lead to a meeting with Dewayne Morris and Jay Jayusuriya at Banockburn church and the band was born. When asked to pinpoint their sound, they describe theirs as that of Christian rock, with influences such as Jeremy Camp and Switchfoot sprinkled into the mix to reach a broader audience. CHAD CHANEY BAND's stated goal and purpose is to produce music that is relevant and carries their passion for the Lord.
