Teddy Buletti...thanks for the info.... that does sound right......I wonder why there were tests as early as 47 for Rebel ....did it take so long to get the film off the ground ?

am confused...when was this screen test made? Rebel was made in 55...by that time Brando was a star and wouldn't have had to test. Plus he was way older than 23....he also does not mention Streetcar in his stage credits so that would mean this test is pre 1947. Was the film in prep so long before it was actually made ? Anyone know ?

this screen test must be 1947.. because he does not mention "A Streetcar Named Desire" when he is asked about the plays he was in. Also, you can see that his nose was not yet broken, and that happened during "Streetcar". Plus, his stage career started in 1944, so again, it can only be 1947, because it says stage exp. 3 years.

yeah you could say its a pity but this was James deans epic movie that mad ehim an Icon if he didnt do it he would never have gotten the chance again in his short life..Brando had plenty of time to let his looks and talent run its course and did plenty of movies he just didnt love acting as much as some others..but he was hte best of all time hands down,..theres really no arguing it.
