  • I don't think using newspaper is appropriate to cover the seeds. It is full of ink and bacteria from handling. What else could we use?

  • 1:56 This sounds exactly like the painter Bob Ross: "This is how I do it, but other people do it differently. Everybody has their own way. Whatever works for you."

  • Gardening Vids on my channel!!

  • You need much more soft paper then that, it should also be scrunched up underneath, & then a flat layer on top. Also, you should use a fork to make small holes through the top layer of paper, this way the roots can grow through. + water every 3rd day, keeping it moist mostly.

If you do this it'll only take a few days before you have sprouts... :0)

  • I have a real problem with using that newspaper with all those colored chemicals in it. Doesn't that go into the wheat grass as they grow? I can't stand the smell of newspaper ink. Other vids are using newspaper too. I don't get it. Just makes me wonder......

  • dude lol at everyone freaking out about him using the sunday paper, it is not that big of a deal

  • don't teach people to grow their grass with toxic Sunday Funnys!!! what the crap! Use BABY BLANKETS!!! I am all for being frugal but not at the expense of contaminating your product!!!

  • Where did you steal the tray from? Cafeteria? There are ways people are growing soil less wheatgrass. It is possible. Good luck to you with that.

  • when growing microgreens like this, the sprout does not require any nutrients in the water provided that the sprout is harvested within 7-10 days from germination. the seed contains all the required nutrients for the plant to grow in this time period...actually sprouts contain more nutritional value for its size than the full grown plant would :) Balancing the ph of the water to 6.0-6.2 and keeping the seeds at a temp. between 65-70 degrees is ideal and speeds the process.

  • I hope that paper you are using has soy based ink instead of lead based!
