  • geniuinely suprised how good the bbc version is, i'd even say without actually playing it, it looks like the best version.

but i wont revert to calling my childhood machines version the best, which is plain to reading through the post a few are.

my actual childhood machines were a msx and an atari vcs

have got a bbc, so always looking out for good games for it because most ports are to be fair pretty poor on it ie paperboy etc.

  • Ocean's Parallax was a superior game on the C64.

  • The CPC version is obviously a lazy port from the Spectrum The CPC was capable of high resolution graphics like the C64 It also had a larger color palette. The CPC could not match the Awesome SID sound effects and music chip of the C64.The C64 version is by far the best version followed by the BBC version which looks alright. The CPC and Sinclair Spectrum versions are about the same. The only problem with the C64 version is it scrolls too quickly making it harder than it needed to be.

  • The Amstrad version is obviously a lazy port from the ZX Spectrum The Amstrad was capable of high resolution graphics like the C64 It also had a larger color palette. The Amstrad could not match the Awesome SID sound effects and music chip of the C64.The C64 version is by far the best version followed by the BBC version which looks Ok.The Amstrad and Sinclair Spectrum versions are about the same. The only problem with the C64 version is it scrolls too quickly making it harder than it needed to be

  • The C64 was probably the best version followed by the CPC and Speccy versions (love the detail on the Speccy graphics). BBC version comes last for me. Whatever it's a real classic 8-bit game though!

  • C64 !In every term.Especially have fast and very smooth scroll at the time.
